Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh and Al-Youm newspapers commented on signing the agreement of the transitional period in Sudan yesterday, saying that it is a historic event that brought Sudan back to the normal course of an Arab country that was about to collapse and plunge into chaos that could not be overcome and get out of it. The papers noted that the Arab solidarity with Sudan was manifested in its best form to reach the agreement of the transitional period in Sudan, pointing out that Arab countries led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia contributed effectively to the return of Sudan to stability. They pointed out that the Kingdom's stand with Sudan is not temporary but permanent on various occasions including political, economic and developmental domains.
