Saudi newspapers highlighted today a number of issues in the local, regional and international arenas. Al-Youm newspaper said in its editorial that the return of Iraq to its Arab environment has a negative impact on the Iranian terrorist regime, adding that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia seeks to extend aid and investment partnerships with Iraq in order to achieve the common interests between the two countries, while Iran, in accordance with its relationship with Iraq, provides arms to fuel the chaos and conflicts in Iraq. Al-Youm added that the agreements and memorandums of understanding signed between Saudi Arabia and Iraq will restore relations to their natural conditions, as well as the beginning of the return of the comprehensive relations between Iraq and all the Arab countries. Today, the two countries are entering a new phase of cooperation which will deepen relations between Riyadh and Baghdad. The Kingdom is interested in bringing Iraq back to its Arab system and the return of stability and security to the region again. Okaz said that while the protests in Sudan are continuing, the Sudanese Military Council is racing to contain the public demands of excluding the former regime and prosecuting those who are responsible for any crime and taking many important steps to win the confidence of the Sudanese, including the arrest of the former president at the Kober prison in Khartoum, and the announcement of a speedy response to the transfer of power to a civilian government. In the midst of this pivotal phase in the history of the Sudan, it is necessary for all actors in the Sudanese street to respond to the movements of the Military Council with constructive cooperation to push the transitional phase in a positive direction that harmonizes the legitimate demands of the Sudanese people.
