The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has invited nomination from Individuals, universities, academic, financial and Islamic institutions throughout the world for the award of IDB Prize for the year 1425 Hijri (2004/2005) in the field of Islamic Economic, state-run Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported. The nominee should have conducted research or rendered services of outstanding merit in the field of Islamic Economic, undertaken services for the mobilization of intellectual capabilities and/ or creative efforts for the promotion of Islamic economic and implementation of Islamic economic programmes, APP said quoting an IDB statement. It added that the winner would be given cash award of 30,000 Islamic Dinar (approximately US$ 40,000). The last for sending nominations is October 13, 2004. The nomination should be mailed to: Chairman, IDB Prize Preparatory Committee, Islamic Research and Training Institute, P.O.Box 9201, Jeddah 21413, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the statement said. The prize is awarded in an official ceremony, which usually coincides with the Annual Meeting of the IDB Board of Governors.
