The Governor of Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Saad bin Othman Al-Qasabi, signed here today a cooperation agreement with the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS) in Seoul. This came on the sidelines of the current visit of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, to the Republic of Korea, during which a series of agreements on vital areas are set to be reached in the framework of strengthening the historical relations between the two countries. The agreement aims at implementing joint research projects in various fields of measurement and calibration, enhancing the technical efficiency of the laboratories of the National Center for Measurement and Calibration, achieving international recognition of the technical measurement capabilities of Saudi Arabia and conducting basic intercomparisons to match the national measurement standards with Korean measurement standards to serve trade exchanges between the two countries.
