The General Secretariat of the Arab League (AL) announced the convening of an emergency meeting of Arab finance ministers, early next week, to discuss providing financial safety net for the State of Palestine, in order to help the Palestinian Authority to face Israeli financial and economic malpractices and tough procedures towards the Palestinian economy, including seizure of Palestinian tax revenues by the Israeli occupation authorities. The Assistant Secretary-General of AL Hossam Zaki said in a statement today that the meeting is to be held, at the invitation of the Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, in coordination and consultation with the Palestinian side, to discuss the issue.
