Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul-Gheit met here today with Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki. During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation and coordination between the Arab League and the African Union and ways to improve the level of Arab-African partnership in various issues. In a statement issued today, Spokesman of the Secretary General of the Arab League Mahmoud Afifi said that Aboul-Gheit and Faki co-chaired the general meeting of Arab-African Cooperation with the participation of a number of officials. He pointed out that the Chairperson of African Union Commission invited Aboul-Gheit to visit the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa and to hold the next meeting of the Arab-African cooperation during the fourth quarter of next year.
