During the fourth week of May 2019, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief)'s project for clearing landmines (MASAM) in Yemen has successfully demined 408 landmines, including 19 antipersonnel mines, 112 anti-tank mines, 273 unexploded ordnance and 4 explosive devices. Since the start of the project, 72,276 landmines, have been demined after they had been planted by Iranian-backed Houthi militias in Yemen, claimed the lives of children, women and the elderly, whether by death, serious injuries or amputation.
