The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's (MASAM) project removed, during the second week of December 2018, a total of 64 antipersonnel mines, 1,430 anti-vehicle mines, 85 explosive devices, and 955 unexploded ordnance. It is noteworthy that the total removed mines, since the beginning of the project, reached 26,609 mines planted by Iranian-backed Houthi militias in the territories, schools, and homes in Yemen, resulting in killing and wounding a large number of children, women and the elderly.
