The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the attack perpetrated by the armed group 3R (Return, Reclamation, Reconciliation) against populations in the Central African Republic, in the villages of Koundjili, Ndjondjom and Bohong, which claimed the lives of more than 35 people and injured many others. Secretary General of the OIC Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and the Government of the Central African Republic, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured. He made an urgent appeal for the implementation of the terms of the Peace Agreement signed on 6 February 2019 between the Government of the Central African Republic and the 14 armed groups, under the auspices of the African Union. Dr. Al-Othaimeen said that those responsible for the attack must be held responsible for the deterioration of the security situation in the affected areas, reaffirming the OIC's solidarity with the Government of the Central African Republic and urged it to continue its efforts and initiatives for a proper implementation of the Agreement of 6 February 2019, the objective of which is to secure all regions and preserve the stability of the country.
