Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the attack on the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) in Aguilhuk, north of Kidal, Gao, on 5 and 6 April 2018, killing two Chadians and one Nigerian from peacekeepers and injuring 12 others seriously. Secretary General of OIC Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen affirmed that the attacks on innocent people are very dangerous for Mali and countries of the region. He called upon the competent authorities to conduct the necessary investigations to arrest and prosecute the enemies of peace, reaffirming OIC support for the Government of Mali and the United Nations Mission in continuing its efforts together with the international community for the effective implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali. Dr. Al-Othaimeen expressed condolences to the families of the victims, United Nations Mission in Mali and Government of Mali, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
