Gunmen on Tuesday killed two senior police officers in the Russian republic of Dagestan bordering Chechnya, officials said. The attack occurred in the Caspian Sea port of Kaspiisk as the officers were heading to work together. Three masked gunmen shot them dead at point-blank range and then drove away in a car, said Abdul Musayev, a spokesman for local police force in Dagestan.
