Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh and Al-Youm newspapers commented on the state of alert in the Arab region in light of repeated Iranian follies, saying that everyone agrees that it is time to curb Iran's arrogance and bullying through its proxies in the region, citing the latest attacks on commercial ships in the territorial waters of the United Arab Emirates and two oil pumping stations in the Kingdom. Okaz newspaper in its editorial entitled ''Summits for peace in the region'' wrote that in a historic phase of the nation and in every crisis, the leadership of the Kingdom takes the initiative to meet challenges, stand against infringements and address all risks. The paper pointed in this regard to the call by The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to leaders of GCC and Arab states for holding two emergency Gulf and Arab summits in Makkah on 25 Ramadan, in addition to 14th regular Islamic Summit to discuss the situations of the Islamic nations.
