Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalid Al-Yamani met here today with US Ambassador to Yemen Matthew Toller. During the meeting, they discussed the developments of the political process in Yemen in the light of the outcome of the recent meeting of the Quartet Committee. Al-Yamani pointed out that the Yemeni government has fulfilled all its commitments regarding the implementation of the agreement and looks forward to the international community to exert enough pressure on the Iranian-backed Houthi militia to immediately withdraw from the ports and move towards achieving peace and alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people. For his part, the US ambassador pointed to the importance of implementing the Hodeidah Agreement as a first step in building confidence to reach a peaceful solution in Yemen, stressing his country's support for the Yemeni government.
