Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the Minister of Culture, announced the vision and directions of the Ministry of Culture in the Kingdom. The announcement was made during a ceremony held here today. The event was attended by a wide audience representing various cultural, artistic and heritage sectors in the kingdom, along with senior government officials, prominent Saudi intellectuals and artists, and officials from around the world. The event's program included musical pieces from the Saudi heritage and a dinner party hosted by Prince Badr bin Abdullah, the Minister of Culture. Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for their wise vision and the establishment of a special ministry for culture in the kingdom. In a statement on the occasion, the minister said that the Ministry of Culture will play a major role in realizing the vision of the Kingdom 2030. During the ceremony, the vision and directions of the Ministry of Culture, which set its cultural aspirations, were unveiled. Initiatives to achieve the aspirations were also announced. Among the most prominent initiatives were the establishment of King Salman International Arabic Language Complex, the establishment of the Cultural Growth Fund, the launch of the Cultural Scholarship Program, the development of public libraries and the establishment of the International Red Sea Film Festival. The ceremony is the "official launch" of the Ministry of Culture, which was established in June 2018 under Royal Order A / 217.
