Saudi Arabia Completed Integrated Infrastructure in Makkah and Madinah to Serve Pilgrims, Umrah Performers and Visitors Including Persons with Disabilities, Dr. Al-Aiban Says
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced in Geneva today that it has taken enough measures to promote and protect the human rights in general and the rights of persons with disabilities in particular, which are in line with relevant international standards, including the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia affirmed that it will continue its efforts to serve the Two Holy Mosques and the holy sites and to provide the necessary resources to serve their visitors, including the achievement of a major infrastructure that takes into account meeting the needs of all persons with disabilities. This came in a report submitted here today by Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, President of the Human Rights Commission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who heads its delegation to the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, an affiliate of the UN council.
