Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard patronized here today the inauguration ceremony of the first power station to convert 380/110 kilo volt in Taif Governorate at a total cost of SR 240 million . Upon arrival at the venue, the Crown Prince was received by Prince Abdulmajeed bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Makkah Region; Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Hussain, the Minister of Water and Electricity and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Electricity Corporation; Fahd bin Abdulaziz bin Muammar, the Governor of Taif; Sulaiman bin Abdullah Al-Qadhi, the Corporation's Executive President; and a number of officials. A speech ceremony was held on this occasion. In his speech Eng. Al-Hussain noted that the government's investment in electricity amounted to more than SR 83 billion between 1395 and 1419H. which led to the increase in the producing power from 1140 to 22,000 megawatt. --More 1910 Local Time 1610 GMT
