Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia always seeks peace throughout the globe, harnessing all its potential to reduce tensions in the region and other regions. The newspaper cited the Kingdom's efforts to reduce tension between the two neighbors India and Pakistan against the backdrop of recent events between them. Al-Yaum newspaper said in its editorial that Abu Dhabi Declaration, adopted at the conclusion of the 46th Session of Foreign Ministers of OIC's Member States, addressed a number of issues of concern to the Muslim world in the context of calling to coordinate and cooperate among Member States for the upcoming phase, with emphasis on respect for the security and sovereignty of Member States. Okaz newspaper said in its editorial that despite the success achieved thanks to an extensive international coalition to defeat ISIS in Syria and Iraq and failed to expand to other countries, but it is still a danger. The newspaper said that it is necessary not to rely on the announcement of victory on ISIS in Syria and Iraq, and to develop new strategic visions to counter possible terrorism.
