U.S. Vice President Biden discusses with Turkish Prime Minister efforts to counter ISIS

US Vice President Joe Biden made a telephone call to Turkish Prime Minister Ahmed Davut Uglu during which they discussed efforts sought to counter the terrorist organization of ISIS.
A statement issued by the White House said the two sides focused on the recent developments in Iraq, where Biden stressed the importance of defusing recent tensions between Turkey and the Iraqi government in a manner that observes Iraqi sovereignty and coordinates efforts for fighting the terrorist organization of ISIS as part of the international efforts in this regard.
