The Saudi Royal Navy and the Border Guards have managed to rescue and evacuate a 72-year-old French sailor, who suffered internal bleeding, while in a sailboat in international waters, 70 nautical miles west of Farsan Island. The Spokesman for the Border Guards, Lt. Col. Misfer bin Ghannam Al-Quraini said that Jeddah Maritime Rescue and Coordination Center (JMRCC) has received an e-mail from the French search and rescue center (GRIS NEZ MRCC), that a boat crew member was, at sea, in a condition requiring evacuation. (JMRCC) managed to identify the location of the boat in the territorial waters of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and carried out the evacuation.
