The Saudi-Tajik Joint Coordinating Committee for the draft memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation in the fields of Islamic affairs between Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Da'wah and Guidance, and the Republic of Tajikistan, represented by the Committee on Religious Affairs and the Organization of Traditions held a meeting here today, in the framework of joint cooperation between the two sides in the various fields of Islamic action, especially aspects of strengthening moderation and rejecting extremism, violence, and terrorism. The delegation of the Kingdom was headed by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Da'wah and Guidance for Islamic Affairs Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Samil, while the Tajik side was headed by Head of the Tajik Committee of Religious Affairs Dr. Sulaiman Dultzadeh. The meeting discussed the principles of moderation, the promotion of the values of tolerance and co-existence among peoples, the rejection of extremism, terrorism and the fight against hatred, the fight against extremist terrorist groups that have affected the Muslim world, as well as cooperation between the two sides with regard to the Holy Quran through benefiting the Committee of Religious Affairs in Tajikistan from the King Fahd Complex of Holy Quran.
