Jubail Commercial Port achieved an increase in the total tonnage of cargo during 2018 through its handling of 14.39 million tons, at a rate of 20% compared to 12 million tons during the year 2017. According to the statistical index issued by Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI), the Port achieved an increase in the volume of exports and imports of bulk cargo (solid and liquid) during 2018 through handling (2.78) million tons compared to (1.78) million tons in 2017, an increase of 56.45%, while exports and imports of general cargo reached (1.49) million tons, compared with (734,000) tons in 2017, an increase of 104%. The total number of standard containers at Jubail Commercial Port during the year 2018 was 727,126 standard containers compared to 674,061, an increase of 8% in 2017, while the number of vessels reached the Port during 2018 was (1,032) , compared to (972) vessels in 2017, an increase of 6%. These achievements of Jubail Commercial Port come within the efforts of Saudi Ports Authority "MAWANI" to strengthen the services of Saudi ports and raise the level of their operational and logistic capacity to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
