King Abdullah Center for Petroleum Studies and Research (KAPSARC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority (GCCIA) on the sidelines of Saudi Arabia Smart Grid and Sustainable Energy Conference and Exhibition concluded in Jeddah recently. The MoU aims at strengthening the research partnership in the electric power sector and developing researches that affect the efficiency of the electricity markets in the GCC countries. The joint cooperation will also include research, seminars, and studies in the field of development and establishment of a joint GCC market for electrical energy.
