US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo welcomed today the results reached by the Yemeni parties at the conclusion of the political consultations held in Sweden and expressed thanks to all the parties that helped to hold these consultations and support them, especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its tremendous efforts in this regard. "The United States would like to thank the UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffith, for his leadership of this effort, his continued optimism and his ability to inspire the parties concerned to reach reconciliation," Pompeo said in a statement. "We would also like to thank the Swedish government for hosting these consultations. We thank the governments of Kuwait, Oman and the United Arab Emirates, as well as other parties that helped organize and support these consultations."
