Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that since the establishment of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States in 1981, the Kingdom has spared no effort to support any joint action aimed at achieving cooperation and integration among the GCC States. The newspaper added that the GCC has succeeded to overpass and address a large extent of obstacles and challenges, including the projects of Iranian expansion in the region and the Iraqi occupation of Kuwait. The paper stressed the active role being played by the Kingdom to support any GGC efforts to achieve the common interests of its Member States and the aspirations of their citizens in the unity of positions, goals and common destiny.
