Kuwait's Ambassador to Oman Shamlan Al-Roumi said in remarks published on Tuesday that his country has spared no effort to supporting and developing the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). In a statement to Omani Shabiba newspaper on occasion of the 29th GCC summit in Muscat, Al-Roumi said the GCC countries have always been supporting the Kuwaiti just causes specially during the former Iraqi regime's invasion and occupation of Kuwait. The ambassador affirmed that Kuwait has made numerous contributions to achieving full economic and political integration among the GCC countries.
