Kuwait reiterated its principled and firm position, condemning any use of chemical weapons anywhere, anytime and by any party as a flagrant violation of international law and related conventions. This came in a speech delivered by the Kuwaiti Ambassador to the Netherlands and its Permanent Representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi during the 4th special session of the Conference of the States Parties to review the progress of the Chemical Weapons Convention in The Hague, Nine days. Al-Otaibi stressed in his speech the importance of the organization and its role in achieving the noble goal, a world free of chemical weapons.
