Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Youm newspaper, in its editorial entitled (Arab NATO and Confronting Enemies), wrote that during a meeting held recently in Kuwait with Chiefs of Staff of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the participation of Egypt and Jordan, the US Central Command proposed the formation of an "Arab NATO" to counter the Iranian tide, which poses a serious threat to the entire Middle East region. Emanating from this proposal, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain confirmed at the conference of "Manama Dialogue" the importance of forming the Middle East Strategic Alliance due to its great importance in promoting security, prosperity and stability in the region on the one hand and addressing the challenges facing the countries of the region at all levels on the other hand, Al-Youm said. For its part, Okaz newspaper commented on the unlimited Saudi support to Yemen thanks to the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people from the horrors of the Iranian Al-Houthi militias. In this context, the port of Aden received yesterday the first Saudi ship carrying the first batch of the Saudi oil derivatives as a monthly grant worth 60 million dollars, as a part of the Saudi program for the development and reconstruction of Yemen, the paper explained. The Kingdom has always stressed that development and reconstruction in Yemen won't wait Iranian-backed Al-Houthi militias' approval to accept political solutions, especially after the Central Bank of Yemen was looted by Al-Houthi militias who were deliberately starving the Yemeni people, Okaz further said, citing the Saudi Program for the development and reconstruction of Yemen as a realistic example of the seriousness of the Kingdom on helping Yemen build a better future for its people.
