Member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Azzam Al-Ahmad praised the efforts made by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait to support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, in the Near East (UNRWA). In an interview published here today, Al-Ahmad said the continued work of the agency and the provision of services to the Palestinian refugees is a slap in the face of the American administration and a clear message of rejection of American policies towards the Palestinian people. He called on the international community and human rights organizations to take the same stance to address the violations committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, from the Judaization of Jerusalem, settlement projects, systematic arrests and killings and US policies that violate the legitimate rights of the Palestinians.
