The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is participating in a high-level delegation led by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Bin Amer Al-Sawah in the preparatory digital economy meetings of ministers and experts of communication and information technology for the G20 Summit to be hosted by the Argentine capital Buenos Aires at the end of this year. The kingdom's participation in the G-20, which includes the world's 20 most powerful economies, is particularly important for its active role in this group, which accounts for 80% of total world trade, about 90% of world GDP and about two-thirds of the world's population. The Kingdom's entry into this group is an international recognition of its great economic importance and its political and economic weight, making it one of the most developed and major countries in the world. The Kingdom is proud to be part of this group to support international cooperation to bridge the digital divide, given the importance of digital transformation in the G20 agenda as one of the pillars of the global economy to highlight its digital reality and its remarkable achievements in digital transformation. The Kingdom launched the digital transformation program as one of the basic programs to achieve the vision of the Kingdom of 2030 to build a digital government and a digital economy with an industry based on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and a digital society to create a vibrant environment, a prosperous economy and a better future for the Kingdom.
