Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper in its editorial entitled ''Economic reform'' wrote that the figures and indicators announced by the Ministry of Finance on the performance of the state's budget by the end of the first half of 2018 show continuing efforts to diversify sources of income and achieve financial sustainability while maintaining a balanced process towards government expenditures. The paper added that the budget report showed the continuation of expansionary fiscal policies, which began in the first quarter of this year, namely the increase in government spending to reach SR 481 billion in order to support the economic growth and disbursement on basic development projects, which is balanced and consistent with the growth of oil and non-oil revenues which rose by 141%. Al-Youm newspaper in its editorial entitled "The Qatari regime and playing with fire'' said that the Qatari regime has used to Tweet outside the group, where it objected to the statement issued by the Secretariat of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States supporting the Kingdom against Canadian intervention in its internal affairs.
