Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper in its editorial on Canada said the Canadian position gives a clear indication that there are those in the West who believe that they have the right to exercise guardianship over countries that they consider as third world countries which is completely unacceptable position. The paper added that according to Official Canadian Statistics Commission, hate crimes against Muslims have risen by 60% across Canada in 2015 which is unacceptable in the Muslim world and Muslims are attacked in a country that preaches human rights and considers itself as their protector while it is unable to protect the Canadian community. Al-Youm newspaper commented on the same topic saying that many countries in the world who love sovereignty, freedom and independence of peoples, have condemned the blatant Canadian intervention in the internal affairs of the Kingdom, and considered it as an interference in its judicial affairs, stressing that infringement on the Kingdom's internal affairs is a red line that cannot be crossed. Okaz newspaper commented on the Iranian issue, saying that the US administration seems to be intending on subjugating the Iranian regime, humiliating it and draining its sources of funding terrorism, whether in Yemen, Lebanon or Iraq, citing American threats that anyone deals with Iran will not be able to trade with the United States of America, which means that Iran is becoming economically and commercially isolated from the world, fueling popular anti-regime protests, and pushing them into a major uprising that topples the regime crouching on them for nearly 40 years.
