Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper in its editorial on the Palestinian issue, saying it is the central cause to Arabs and Muslims that cannot be dealt with in any way except by finding a comprehensive and lasting solution to it, pointing out that the Kingdom has been at the forefront of countries with its constant interest and continuous care for all Palestinian affairs politically, economically and socially. The newspaper continued that the Kingdom launched King Fahd Peace Project at Arab Fez Summit in 1982, the Arab Peace Initiative in 2002, sponsored Fatah and Hamas agreement in Makkah in 2007, proposed at Arab Summit in Cairo in 2000 to establish two funds Al-Aqsa Fund, Al-Quds Uprising Fund with a capital of $ 1 billion, donated $ 200 million to Al-Aqsa Fund whose capital amounted to $ 800 million and $ 50 million to Al-Quds Fund with a capital of $ 200 million, and provided humanitarian assistance to Palestinian refugees directly or through international agencies and organizations dealing with refugee affairs. Al-Youm and Okaz newspapers commented on Iranian uprising by saying that Iranian streets have not calmed down for the 14th day of the people's massive uprising against tyranny to overthrow the regime of mullahs sitting on their chests for decades and broken the barrier of fear in confronting the corrupt regime, noting that the ruling terrorist regime would not be able to silence the mouths of the hungry after they were fed up with poverty, unemployment, high prices, corruption, mismanagement and the exploitation of the state's funds in feeding terrorism and financing extremists all over the world.
