The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) delegation, headed by the IAEA Deputy Secretary General, concluded its mission of Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review during its visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 15 to 24 July 2018 at King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE). The delegation was received by KACARE President Dr. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Sultan as well as heads of KACARE sectors and a number of representatives of the concerned authorities. During the review, the IAEA delegation was briefed on the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in preparing the necessary infrastructure for the introduction of peaceful atomic energy into the Kingdom as part of the national energy system and with the participation of relevant stakeholders and business partners from the relevant Saudi government agencies. Dr. Al-Sultan affirmed that the Kingdom Vision 2030 prospects that atomic energy is an important source of sustainable growth throughout the Kingdom. He thanked the IAEA delegation members for their efforts in achieving the goals of countries wishing to benefit from these technologies. The IAEA delegation members praised the tangible cooperation of the Kingdom to pursue its objectives and constructive cooperation.
