On the sidelines of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, which was recently held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, a delegation from the Ministry of Economy and Planning, headed by Deputy Minister Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ibrahim, had talks with Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations Amina Mohammed. During the meeting, which took place last Wednesday, they discussed issues of mutual interest in the framework of the institutional transformation in the United Nations towards a coordinated development work between the United Nations organizations in different countries and the support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. On her part, UN Deputy Secretary General commended the steps taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in achieving the goals of sustainable and positive development supported by the Kingdom's Vision 2030. It is worth mentioning that a Saudi official delegation from the public and private sectors and NGOs, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Planning, presented the first voluntary review at the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, where they presented the progress of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards achieving the 17 sustainable development goals.
