Kingdom of Saudi Arabia emphasized its concern for human development and the promotion of citizens' well-being and its commitment to achieve sustainable development at the national level and to continue to cooperate with its partners to achieve sustainable development at regional and international levels. This came in a speech delivered yesterday by the Kingdom's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Mouallimi at the high-level political forum that supports the implementation of the agenda for Sustainable Development, which was held earlier this year under the title "Reducing Poverty and Promoting Prosperity in A Changing World". He pointed to the Kingdom's expected participation in the voluntary national exhibition 2018 entitled "Transformation Towards Flexible and Sustainable Societies". Ambassador Al-Mouallimi said that "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia attaches importance to human development and the welfare of its citizens, affirming its commitment to achieving sustainable development at the national level and to continue to cooperate with its partners to achieve sustainable development at the regional and international levels." He added that "From a strategic point of view, the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030, is based on three pillars; a vibrant society, a thriving economy and an ambitious homeland that harmonizes with the sustainable development agenda and covers the theme of this year's high-level political forum, efficiency of the social services system, increasing women's participation in the labor market, facilitating access to health services and quality of service and taking into account geographical distribution as well as promoting protection against health risks, ensuring food security and development in addition to improving local and regional development of the digital economy with the reduction of pollution of all kinds and the protection and creation of natural regions."
