Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Okaz newspaper in its editorial entitled ''Good news continues" wrote that the new International Monetary Fund's (IMF) report on the performance of world economies is more optimistic for the Saudi economy, as for the third time since October 2017, the IMF raised its forecast of the Saudi economy to 1.9% growth from 1.7% previously. The paper added that this is one of the fruits of restructuring programs of the Saudi economy contained in the Kingdom's vision 2030, as they are ambitious programs that will end the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's dependence on oil revenues as a sole source of income. Al-Youm newspaper commented on chaos in Iraq, saying what has been happening of protests in the southern provinces of Iraq during the past few days recalling the specter of terrifying chaos scenarios that swept through some of the capitals of our Arab world a few years ago, putting Iraq at crossroads that increase its suffering in the post-fall and occupation period in 2003.
