The Arab League, King Abdulaziz Public Library and the National Library of China are preparing to launch the "Arab-Chinese Digital Library," which was assigned to King Abdulaziz Public Library to be established by the Arab League, as it is a pioneer in promoting the joint Arab action and developing Arab libraries, and for its continuing numerous successes in the field of employing information technology in the service of Arab culture. The launch comes on the sidelines of a meeting of Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum on Tuesday in Beijing to exchange sources of traditional and non-traditional information in line with the information infrastructure used in Arab countries and their adaptation to the information infrastructure in China, in addition to strengthening the partnership between national libraries in Arab countries and the People's Republic of China. Director of the Arab-Chinese Digital Library Development Project Dr. Saleh Al-Misnad pointed out that the launch of the library will be an active start for Arab and Chinese cultures in a modern and attractive manner, noting that the library aims at establishing the foundations of knowledge and cultural partnership.
