The General Supervisor of King Abdulaziz Public Library, Faisal Al-Muammar said the Unified Arab Indexing Project, launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz through the Library is aimed at developing the science of libraries and data collection. In a press statement, on the occasion of convening the18th Arab conference on libraries and data, hosted by the Culture and Information ministry, he said the unified Arab indexing project will realize numerous goals, notably confining the Arab heritage which exists in manuscripts in a unified data base. Al-Muammar said the project will work for the unification of the Arab efforts in legalizing indexing and classifying works as well as contributing to lessening the cost of repetition of the indexing works. --MORE
