Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed rejection and condemnation of the decision of the Republic of Paraguay to transfer its embassy to occupied Jerusalem (Al-Quds), saying that this illegal action is provocative, a flagrant violation of international law and of all relevant United Nations' resolutions. Secretary General of (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen reaffirmed that such an action would neither establish a right nor acquire legitimacy. He called on the UN Security Council to shoulder its responsibilities, pointing out that the last Islamic extraordinary summit, held in Istanbul on 18 May 2018, has decided to take appropriate political and economic actions, in addition to other measures against countries that may take such step of relocating their embassies to the occupied Al-Quds.
