Istanbul Extraordinary Islamic Summit Conference has concluded its activity today after consultations among the leaders of the Islamic world, the most important were the contacts made by the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and President Mahmoud Abbas of the State of Palestine. The summit, which was held yesterday to discuss Israeli attacks on unarmed Palestinians on the Gaza Strip border, claimed more than 60 lives and wounded 3,000. In a press conference following the summit, Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Dr. Yusuf Al-Othaimeen highly praised the role being played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting the Palestinian cause citing its recent stance in Jerusalem "valuing the Kingdom's call for holding an emergency ministerial conference on May 17 in Cairo, stressing the role of the Kingdom, Jordan, Egypt, Kuwait, Morocco and Turkey in supporting the Palestinian cause.
