The Secretary-General of Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen met in Istanbul today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mouloud Gawish Oglu, on the sidelines of the ministerial-level Extraordinary Executive Committee meeting on recent violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque. The two sides discussed a number of issues of common interest, including the Palestinian issue, and the developments discussed at the Istanbul meeting, in light of Turkey's great interest in the Palestinian cause. The meeting discussed the arrangements for the conference, as well as many issues of common interest and issues related to the work of the OIC. The OIC Secretary-General expressed appreciation for Turkey's efforts in favor of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by hosting the conference, which is in line with the efforts of the OIC countries in their collective stand with Al-Aqsa Mosque and Al-Quds Al-Sharif. During the meeting, the Turkish Foreign Minister spoke about the importance of supporting the Palestinian cause.
