Fifth Extraordinary Islamic Summit Concluded in Jakarta

The Fifth Extraordinary Islamic Summit was concluded here today.
The Summit issued a resolution, supporting the call by Palestine's President Mahmoud Abbas to hold an international peace conference to end the Israeli occupation.
The resolution stressed the pivotal role of the OIC Member States in taking all necessary measures to provide protection for the Palestinians, in addition to maintaining the sanctity of Jerusalem, especially Al-Aqsa Mosque.
