Secretary General of Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen confirmed that OIC supports conducting an independent investigation by the Geneva-based UN Human Rights Council into the deliberate Israel's attack against unarmed Palestinian civilians. Addressing the foreign ministers of Islamic countries assigned to prepare for the seventh extraordinary Islamic summit scheduled for Istanbul, Turkey, on May 19, Al-Othaimeen noted the lack of accountability for Israel's violations and, instead, immuring it against being punished encouraged it to persist in its aggressive policies against the Palestinian people.
