The Official Spokesman of the Joint Coalition Forces Command "Coalition to Support Legitimacy, in Yemen" Col. Turki Al-Malki announced that, at 6:30 (18:30) p.m. tonight, Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces (RSADF) intercepted a ballistic missile launched by Iranian-backed Al-Houthi militia from within Yemeni territories, (Saada Governorate) towards the Kingdom's territories. He explained that the missile which was targeting the city of Jazan, was deliberately launched to target civilian and populated areas, adding that such a hostile action by Al-Houthi militia backed by Iran, proves continuing involvement of the Iranian regime supporting Al-Houthi militias with qualitative capabilities, in a flagrant and explicit defiance and violation of UN resolutions (2216) and (2231), in order to threaten the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the regional as well as international security and calling launching of ballistic missiles towards densely populated cities and villages, is contrary to the international humanitarian law.
