The official spokesman of the Joint Coalition Forces Command "Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen" Colonel Turki Al-Malki announced that at 6: 42 p.m. (18:42) today, Iranian-backed Houthi militias failed to launch a short-range Badr-type rocket from within the Yemeni territories north of (Saada Governorate) towards the Kingdom's territories as it fell in a desert area that was not populated and no damages have been reported up to the time of this release. He explained that the rocket which was targeting the city (Najran) deliberately launched to target civilian and populated areas. Colonel Al-Malki said that this hostile action by Al-Houthi militia backed by Iran proves the continuing involvement of the Iranian regime in support of Al-Houthi militias with qualitative capabilities in a clear and explicit defiance for the violation of UN resolutions (2216) and (2231) in order to threaten the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the regional and international security and that launching ballistic missiles towards densely populated cities and villages is contrary to the international humanitarian law.
