The Arab Quartet Ministerial Committee on the Iranian interventions in Arab affairs issued a statement at its 8th meeting. The statement dealt with the developments of the crisis with Iran and ways to address its interference in the internal affairs of the Arab States. The committee, which consists of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; United Arab Emirates; Kingdom of Bahrain; Arab Republic of Egypt and the Secretary General of Arab League condemned the continuation of Iranian interferences in the internal affairs of Arab countries and the provocative statements being made by Iranian officials against the Arab countries. The Committee also expressed its deep concern over Iran's efforts to incite sectarian violence in Arab countries, including its support and arming of terrorist militias in some Arab countries, resulting in chaos and instability in the region that threatens Arab national security. The Committee also condemned the continuation of Iran's support for acts of terrorism and sabotage in the Arab States, including the continued firing of ballistic missiles from Yemeni territories into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which forms a flagrant violation of Security Council resolution 2216 for 2015.
