The Arab ministerial committee concerned with monitoring the crisis with Iran has condemned the continuing of Iranian interference in Arab internal affairs, denouncing at the same time the provocative statements by Iranian officials against the Arab countries. The ministerial committee has expresssed in a statement issued today at the conclusion of its meeting at the headquarters of the Arab League, chaired by the United Arab Emirates, its deep concern towards Iran's efforts to incite sectarian violence in Arab countries, including its support and arming of terrorist militias in some Arab countries, resulting in choas and instability in the region, which threatens the Arab national security and underminds the regional and international efforts to resolve the issues and crises of the region through peaceful means, and called on it to desist and stop doing so. The Arab Quartet Committee also has condemned Iran's continuing support for acts of terrorism and sabotage in Arab countries, including the continued firing of ballistic missiles from Yemeni territories against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a flagrant violation of Security Council Resolution 6216. The committee also underscored the need to refrain from arming militias, reiterating its support for the measures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain to combat these aggressive acts and protect its security and stability. The Committee has condemned the ongoing sabotage activities in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, appreciating the Kingdom of Bahrain's efforts to combat terrorism and the successful efforts being exerted by the Bahraini security services to foil a number of terrorist acts and plots. The Quartet Committee denounced Iran's continued development of the ballistic missile program of offensive nature, denouncing also the launching of Iranian-made rockets by the Houthi militias targeting the cities and villages of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, posing a serious threat to security and stability in the region. The Committee has stressed that Iran must comply with implemention of Security Council resolution 2231 with regard to its missile program, and the world community need to carry out an effective mechanism to verify Iran's implementation of the resolution, inspection and monitoring and urged them to re-impose sanctions quickly and effectively if Iran violates its obligations under this resolution, pointing out to the importance of Iran's respect for all nuclear safety charters, taking into consideration the environmental problems of the region and the confirmations in resolution of Iran's ban on ballistic testing and development of long-range missiles and missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
