The 39th session of the Joint Saudi-French Business Council started here today, in the presence of the Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid Al-Qassabi and Minister of Transport Eng. Nabil Al-Amoudi. The Saudi co-chairman of the council Dr. Mohammed bin Laden pointed out, in his opening speech, that the session took place, in coincidence with the visit of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense, hailing the strong presence of the French interests, in the meetings. For his part, the minister of commerce highlighted the historical background of relations binding the two countries, in different domains, indicating that the bilateral trade volume has recorded SR210 billions, during the previous 5 years, concluding by saying that French companies entertain 179 different licenses to invest in the Kingdom. On the other hand, minister of transport reviewed tasks undertaken by various French interests, in the robust domain of transport, in the country, and their contributions to realize the objectives of the Kingdom Vision 2030.
