His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense has stressed the importance of applying the principles of the United Nations and the need to abide by the rule of law, pointing out that the problems in the Middle East are consistent with ideas not believing in the UN principles and blatantly violate all laws and norms of the United Nations by interference in the internal affairs of other countries in addition to the promotion of transboundary ideologies that have nothing to do with national interests. This came in a speech delivered by His Royal Highness Crown Prince following his meeting with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres. His Royal Highness Crown Prince said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is defending its interests, maintaining its security and working with its allies in the Middle East for the security and stability of region. He also stressed the Kingdom's keenness on political solutions to the Middle East crises in cooperation with the United Nations, pointing out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an active member and has contributed throughout the history to protect the interests of the United Nations.
