The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet‘s session at Al-Yamamah palace here on Tuesday afternoon. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers, Acting Minister of Culture and Information, said that the Cabinet is looking forward to the results of the official current visit to the United States of America by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense, taking place upon directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his talks with President Donald Trump of the United States of America and senior officials of the US government, lauding the depth of relations between the two friendly countries and their keenness on ways to consolidate the ties in order to serve the common interests and support security and stability in the region and around the world. The Cabinet was briefed on the results of the official visit paid by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, to Malaysia, the Republic of Singapore and the Republic of The Philippines and his discussions with the senior officials there on bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them in addition to the latest developments at the international arena, including the stances of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and these countries towards them. The Cabinet reviewed a number of reports on current events and developments at the Arab, regional and international arenas. In this regard, the Cabinet welcomed the presidential statement issued by the UN Security Council on the situation in Yemen, which included a strong condemnation of the Houthi militias targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with Iran-backed ballistic missiles and their deliberate targeting of civilian areas and a praise of Yemen Comprehensive Humanitarian Operation (YCHO) which was announced by the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
